Who we are

LATAM PCI is a non-profit initiative that was born in 2018 with the support of AMRACI-Mexico, ABSPk-Brazil and ANRACI-Colombia with the support of IFSA-USA, to join efforts of the different organizations involved in fire safety in the Latin American region and change the way of seeing the problem of fire making fire protection a relevant issue from the social, technical and regulatory point of view.

Working on three fundamental axes, it focuses its efforts on issues of regulation, education and visibility, which allow the best practices of its member organizations to be pooled and shared with the different actors responsible for regulation in the region, the integration of statistics, education and updating programs for specialists, as well as public education programs for both authorities with jurisdiction and the general public.

The LATAM PCI Network has a clear objective to create a unified voice for the fire protection industry throughout the region to raise the level of safety for the benefit of society.

One of the main activities of LATAM PCI is to promote the improvement and development of regulation in this area, through the strengthening of fire and building safety codes, educating regulators, public officials and the public about the advantages of these, which will allow us to walk together as one team, in a single direction and with the same flag: saving people’s lives, protecting their property and business interruption.
