I. Regulation

Target

  • Conduct a diagnosis of the current status of mandatory PCI regulations and its legal process. Identify the current status of regulations and design methodologies to monitor compliance in the region.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize the use of specific regulations for the region.
  • Work as a team with the other local and regional organizations in the development of methodologies that will allow the member countries of the network to influence their local governments to improve building safety conditions.
  • Conduct a diagnosis of the current status of the regulations and their legal process. Where, how they are designed, what is installed, who supervises it.

II. Education

Target

  • Identify the real needs for the training and updating of specialists in the region.
  • Propose a standardized training scheme recognized and endorsed by LATAM PCI according to the required competencies.
  • Recommend a base of certified or network-accredited instructors for the development of standardized training programs.
  • Develop a curriculum of competencies that a specialist should have. Propose a certification program for specialists

Target

  • To transform the way of facing the fire problem in Latin America, making fire protection a relevant issue from a social, technical and regulatory point of view.
  • Create the World Fire Prevention Day.
  • Create education programs for authorities, clients and society in general.

Target
